I wish to express my gratitude to those of you who send emails or make meaningful comments on my blog site. If you do not, I have no way of knowing if you are reading these posts or that you are even "out there." Some have expressed disappointment for the periodic lapses that necessarily occur as I am literally "in the field" and away from my computer and internet access. Please know that your support means a lot to me and gives me encouragement. Private comments can always be sent to me directly by email at: sonoflibertywalk@gmail.com
Though I am not usually lonely, I am always alone unless I hear from you.
Ray
Here I am. Someone sent me your blogsite as you began this walk, and I check in everyday. I will comment more, now that I know it helps to hear from people. Your journey is interesting and inspiring and altho I cannot literally walk with you, I am in with you in spirit. I think it is a fantastic idea, and a lifetime experience. I am thankful for blogs that let us keep up with you in real time....and I totally get that you can only post when you have access.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time with your wife this weekend!!!
I've been reading all summer, Ray. Although we've not met, we are colleagues of sort... I teach in Bethel, too... at Prairie Mountain. I admire your courage and effort. Keep walking, and stay safe. Know that many of us are checking in often.

ReplyDeleteSon of Liberty! We met in Mountain Home Idaho and I read your posts everyday. I love what you are doing and am inspired by your actions. It gives me hope for the future of this country. I look forward to your updates and pray for your safety and journey. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteDear Ray,
ReplyDeleteMy daughter Amanda had the priveledge of being a part of your last group of students, and was thrilled to walk along as you started this amazing journey. Since then we have all followed you with great interest, and have encouraged many others to follow along as well.
Keep up the excellent work! We are inspired by your strength and your vision, and we think of you often.
Cheers,
Gordon
Ray, I have been following your blogs and really enjoy them. I was one of the secretaries at the Crestline Middle School when you were first starting out. Several people here in Crestline have been reading them. Have a safe trip. Shirley Arter
ReplyDeleteAnd we like checking in with you too. Cyndi calls and tells us different things about your trip. Think it is awesome what you are doing! Wyatt & Sam get to say they actually know someone who has walked across America. Take care!

Hi! Its Maggie... Again... but I wanted to say you're the BEST teacher ever and I really miss you! We all miss you! Saydee and I will be talking about one thing and just somehow start talking about you. You're great. High school so far is insane but fun. It was nothing like I thought it'd be, but German class is fun. I've memorized 1-19 and "Are you here?" in one class period so I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Mr. Brown! You're great and the best teacher anyone could ask for!
