Sunday, October 3I stayed an extra day in the motel to rest and recuperate and will now begin walking with a sense of renewal. It is exciting to begin crossing a new state and for the first time I feel I am really getting somewhere. I plan to travel east on Highway 2 across the bottom of Iowa.
I enjoyed the talk I had with you on the 6th in Bedford Iowa. I t was early in the morning around 8 and I am afraid the group was a little sleepy yet. Had we known of you coming to our community in advance we would have made a welcome for you. Please keep in mind Bedford people have strong opinions...we just don't wake up until noon.
