Leaving Thermopolis in the Morning

Friday, August 20
I plan to leave Thermopolis in the morning and head south toward Shoshoni, Wyoming. As it is 33 miles away and as I am not in a hurry, I hope to make it a two day trip by camping at a reservoir halfway and then arrive in Shoshoni on Sunday. From there I hope to take Highway 20 to Casper.

  1. We met you in Jackson Square, it was fun our paths crossed if even for a few minutes. We are now following your blog. We wish you well on your travels and look forward to hearing more about our great country as you travel across it.

I continue to enjoy reading about your travels. Some of the places you've been I've visited as well. Be safe.

  4. Hi Ray,

Nice to follow you via your blog. My daughter Ella has been reading your entries with fascination. She was complaining about all the walking we had to do while at the Country Fair and I told her I knew someone walking across the country. Every day she asks, "Mamma, can we check on Ray"?

Ella and I wish you safe travels and keep those blog entries coming.

  5. Hello from your former student and current 8th grade History teacher! I've sent you an email but I don't expect you to be able to check that in the middle of nowhere.

Just wanted to let you know that today is the first day back to school for students here in my district and I mentioned you and this cross-country journey. You're quite an inspiration. We'll definitely be following you. Safe journey.

PS: Can I recommend that you change your settings so that each new post is dated? I'm not sure what the date is for the Sunday you refer to in this post.
